Saw this guy stand up paddle boarding (not surfing thanks for the head’s up Peter) while visiting the Portland Headlight with my parents a few weeks back.

Out to Sea

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

Sorry for the lack of recent posts, it’s been crazy lately. My parents visited last week and we went out on a whale watch. It was pretty awesome and I’ll share some whale shots soon. Other than that, the wedding season has swung into high gear. I’m spending most of my time working on wedding pictures these days. I love it. Katie and I are having a blast so far this summer.

Anyways, here’s a shot of some seagulls heading out to sea. I’ve had the sea in my mind a lot lately. Last week while perusing through an antique store I came across a first edition of The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway. It’s one of my all-time favorite books and I’ve always wanted a first edition (pricey though). I haven’t bought it yet and am still on the fence……decisions, decisions…

Hope all is swell out there and stay tuned for an onslaught of blogging to come!

A couple of beach scenes during a recent trip to Point Lookout, NY. It was a wonderful weekend spent under the sun and in the waves.

The Hillsborough Balloon Festival

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

I woke up shortly before 5 a.m. yesterday and ventured over to Hillsborough for the annual balloon festival. I was expecting tons of balloons, but there ended up only being about 5. It was fun though, but I ended up falling asleep in the afternoon and missing the third place game of the World Cup.

The ISS Flyby

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

I went out tonight to watch as the International Space Station flew over Concord, New Hampshire. It was pretty quick and I was only able to get one frame off. More to come as I plan on doing a flyby essay in the coming months.
