Refugees for the U.S. Department of State

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

I recently did an assignment on refugees living in the United States for the Bureau of International Information Programs. The bureau produces publications that are distributed worldwide in several different languages. Topics mostly involve contemporary issues in the United States. I photographed an English for Speakers of Other Languages class during a field trip to a community garden. The class of about 40 was made up of mostly Bhutanese refugees. Everyone was so nice and loved having their pictures made.
