regatta
i don’t hesitate for two seconds to say that i have the greatest job in the world. i’m not trying to brag or anything, but the stuff i get paid to just absolutely rocks. getting to use the creative side of the brain everyday is stimulating’ly awesome.
yesterday my job was to go out on a boat and photograph a regatta on bellingham bay. damn, that sucks. a paid ride out into the middle of a gorgeous bay to take pictures, yes take pictures, of people sailing with spectacular views. it’s almost hard to take in or fathom.
while a photojournalist works their tail off just like any other, well most other, professionals, we still have a solid gig that i wouldn’t trade for anything, well, almost anything (rockstar).
it’s just great. life it great, don’t take a second of it for grant it. act on impulse because that’s who you really are at your core. don’t be shy. talk to people, they are what makes the world spin.
